Upon the invitation of the Chairman of Del-York International Group Mr Linus Idahosa; His Royal Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III discussed investment opportunities for the Niger Delta region; alongside Del-York Group and Edwin Huffine (founder and CEO of Huffine Global Solutions, a strategic partner.

The royal visit was welcomed with enthusiasm by the staff, lecturers and excited Delyork Creative Academy students as His Majesty was chaperoned to the various learning suites, including Sound Design, Film Making, Directing, Acting for Film; Producing & the Business of Filmmaking and the Screenwriting classrooms.

At the Screenwriting class, a female DCA student burst into an impromptu royal chant worthy of His Majesty. In response, Olu Ogiame said, “This is the class I would be in if I were here”.

At the end of the visit, His Majesty was impressed by the level of creativity and talent that has emerged from DCA and the milestones attained by its Alumni. Del-York is the Citadel of capacity-building excellence. With the upcoming Africa Film & Media City, Olu Ogiame stated that with the effort of Del-York Creative academy, Nigeria will soon become the capital of the Black Film Industry.

We look forward to breaking ground on the 100-hectare Africa Film and Media City under development in partnership with Lagos State Government and Story Land Studios.
