The Obong of Calabar Golf Tourney is a unique four-day event scheduled for 18th to 21st November 2022, in commemoration of the 74th birthday of the Ruler of Calabar Land, Obong Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V. The exclusive, world-class event, which the Obong will tee-off, will hold at the Golf Course in Calabar, the Capital of Cross River State.
Bustling with exciting contemporary sites and fascinating cultural history, the Southern Nigerian city of Calabar is clean, secure and attractive to tourists. The 31-year-old Calabar Golf Course, with a course of 627 yards and a par of 72, is situated on Old Odukpani Road and is well-preserved with ultra-modern facilities to accommodate golfers, guests and golfing enthusiasts.
Following the arrival of guests in the premier destination hotel, there will be a serving of cocktails, a mini carnival show, a tour and sightseeing of the beautiful city including other entertaining events and cultural activities. The royal golf tourney will feature an exquisite contest of 70 local and international skilled golf players in an 18-hole competition with no cuts.
Inclusive of the elite golfers demonstrating incredible sportsmanship will be royalties, political figures and key stakeholders.
