With Ehingbeti, the Lagos Economic Summit just around the corner, her stakeholders held a pre-meeting to assure sympathizers and interested parties that they mean business. Our partners organized the event at Oaken Event. It was accompanied by our talented team at Del-York International, who worked tirelessly to curate designs that branded the red carpet, the hall, and the grand stage. This collaboration produced a special project with an international look and feel.
The Meeting kicked off with the singing of the Nigerian National Anthem and then a welcome note by the Co-Chairman of Ehingbeti 2022
The Co-Chairman, H.C. Sam Egube, didn’t shy away from showcasing the achievements of Ehinbeti, scoring at a 95% execution rate of projects which include the 3rd Mainland Bridge and various ultramodern bus terminals. He highlighted the 30-year Lagos State Development Plan, which consists of constructing the 4th Mainland Bridge and faster trains that significantly cut commuters’ travel time.
Mr Olayinka Majekodunmi, from the Boston Consulting Group, took to the stage next to further expatiate on the Lagos State Development Plan. He spoke on the process of defining tangible initiatives to be initiated and the prioritisation based on the timeline.
This Meeting was attended by public and private sector members and the diplomatic core, who was happy to be there as their goodwill messages indicated.
While taking the stage, Del-York’s long-time partner, Chief Diana Chen, the chairman of GAC Motor, stated that she envisioned Lagos becoming a model modern state, and it was in everyone’s interest to actualize this vision. Expressing how proud GAC Motor was to be a sponsor of Ehingbeti for the second time in a row, she affirmed that bringing a GAC assembly plant to Nigeria was part of her contribution.
Other stakeholders who graced the stage included Solape Hammond, Special Adviser to Lagos State Government for Sustainable Development, Amarakoon Bandara, the UNDP Economic Advisor, and a host of other domestic and international dignitaries.
The Meeting closed with a vote of thanks from Mr Gbenga Omotoso, the Lagos State Commissioner for Communication and Strategy. He expressed his gratitude to all those who came and looked forward to the actual Lagos Economic Summit in October 2022.
